Privacy Policy for Simple Level
Effective date: [2026-09-04]
The short version
Simple Level reads the device gravity sensor and paints a Simple on the screen. The gravity samples are consumed in real time and thrown away as soon as the next sample arrives. Nothing is stored, nothing is uploaded.
Information Simple Level stores locally
None. Simple Level does not persist any settings or measurement history. Each time you open the app you start from a clean state.
How the gravity sensor is used
Android exposes the gravity vector without needing a permission. Simple Level subscribes to sensor events while the app is on screen and unsubscribes automatically when you leave. On devices that do not have a dedicated gravity sensor, the app falls back to the accelerometer under the same no-permission API. The readings are used only to move the Simple in the current frame and are not written to disk.
Information we do not collect
- We do not collect your name, email, phone number, or account.
- We do not read your camera, microphone, storage, or clipboard.
- We do not record device orientation, motion history, or location.
- We do not receive analytics, telemetry, or crash reports.
Android permissions
Simple Level declares zero Android permissions in its manifest. Motion sensors on Android do not require a runtime permission for ordinary sampling rates, so the app can function fully with an empty permission list.
Network use
Simple Level does not request the
android.permission.INTERNET permission and never
opens a network socket. Sensor data cannot leave your device.
Third parties
The APK contains no advertising library, no analytics SDK, no crash reporter, and no billing client. No third party observes your use of the app.
Children
Because Simple Level collects nothing and transmits nothing, it has no data of any user to identify or profile, including children under 13.
